This tiny newborn totally gave me baby fever. When you scroll though these pictures you'll see why! He was completely chill throughout his session. He was cozy, fed, burped, and sleepy making the perfect recipe for newborn poses. You've probably noticed that I keep my newborn posing to simple natural positions. I keep the props to a minimal too. I often use items from around the family's home making the images more unique and personal. And a lot of my props that I bring are unique and personal to me. Like the suitcase below. That once belonged to my Grandma. I inherited it when she passed away. It was filled with amazing buttons when I got it! And now it's filled with crocheted newborn hats which are handmade by me!
I was there documenting the moment Nolan came in to the world. It was such a beautiful and calm birth which you can see HERE. When Nolan was born, he made Asher a big bro! So when Nolan was 4 days old we did an in home family session. As you can imagine, it's pretty wild working with a toddler and a newborn. You gotta be quick. You gotta be ready all the time. You gotta learn the art of distraction, and I have definitely become a pro at that, ha ha ha. So even though Asher was more interested in playing than having his picture taken (like most tots), we were able to capture him in his world doing the things he loves, and the pictures turned out perfect and natural and real!!
