The People In Your Neighbourhood

For the past few years I have donated Spring mini sessions to two of our local schools during their fun fairs as auction prizes to raise money for the schools. I love doing this! I love meeting new families in my community and then seeing them regularly in the neighborhood. And I love being able to donate to our schools because we aaaall know that they are underfunded and are always in need of something. So next time you see that your local school is hosting an event open to everyone, go and support them, even if you don't have kids that go there because the people in your neighborhood impact your life, and your community. Support them!

I'm really looking forward to meeting the winners of this years auctions! Scroll down to see last years winners!

Autumn Is Coming, And So Are Mini Sessions!

Guys! How are we here again?! Didn't summer holidays just start? My kids and I were at the park yesterday and we collected some red leaves that had already fallen from the tree. I feel like this summer was especially fast. But with the colder evenings and colourful leaves you know what that means...Autumn mini sessions are coming soon! Autumn in Toronto is a very special time to have pictures taken because we have one of the most beautiful Autumn seasons in the world. If you've been on the fence about booking a session with a professional photographer, there is no better time than during Autumn mini sessions. I will of course be announcing them first in the newsletter that will be going out in the next couple weeks, so consider signing up because subscribers always get first dibs at booking and mini sessions always book up! Here, take a look at a few sessions from last years minis. I just adore this season!

Sisters Second Donation

I'm very proud of my little ladies. They both just made their second hair donation to Pantene Beautiful Lengths who help turn hair donations in to free real-hair wigs for women fighting cancer! But they certainly aren't the only ones collecting hair for wigs. A quick google search will show options that are open to you based on your location! If you are thinking of cutting your hair, considering donating it! All you need is at least 6- 9 inches depending on where you're donating! And if you are in Toronto, I offer free sessions to those who donate!!

Here's Audrey and Adelaide before they got their hair cut at The Loft on Queen Street where they were treated like Queens. Scroll down to see the results!

Audrey and Adelaide donated a total of 6 ponytails. But remember, that is not enough for a wig because it takes an average of 20 ponytails to make one wig, which is the equivalent to about 5 donations!

Watch what happens when you donate your hair.

It's hard to let go of long hair when you have grown it for so long. Especially if it your child's first haircut. But donating hair gives those emotional haircuts more meaning and more purpose making it easier to cut. Donating hair is so rewarding knowing that your hair is going to help someone! And knowing that you get a free photo session with me makes it even more fun!
