Gabriela, 10 Days Old

Ten days after I documented this beautiful little baby enter the world, (which can be seen here), I was invited in to this family's home where we hung out for a couple hours and snapped some photos. I love the relaxed atmosphere of in home sessions. It's comforting being in your own space. And with a newborn, it's just way easier for the whole family when people come to you. But my favourite thing about in home sessions has got to be the personal touch. The pictures are always so very you! These are my favourites from this session. Sweet baby Gabriela!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sarah & Bret

I met this lovely family on a very sunny windy fall day. We were nestled so perfectly along the river protected from the cold gusts. Big brother is a curious toddler who likes to explore, so he made a great leader. We followed his lead along the river snapping pictures along the way. Here's some of my favourite shots from our session. I feel warmer just looking at these!! :)

The warmer days are in our near future so the spring and summer schedule is starting to book up. If you are thinking of booking a session during this years green season, sign up for my newsletter to get first dibs on the upcoming mini sessions, or contact me to book a full session.

Hello Gabriela

{birth story}

This birth was BEAUTIFUL! This lovely couple have a crystal clear connection that you can really feel through these pictures. This mama was fierce and strong and so sure of herself and her baby. She really rocked and owned her birth. I am quiet as a mouse when I am documenting a birth (unless it's a chatty kind of event) but I had a hard time keeping quiet at times because I just wanted to scream out my cheers of encouragement as she overcame hurdles because I knew she knew she could do it and sometimes you have very little time left before the midwives and doctors need to make the call. But she knew, and she did it! It was a really powerful birth! You can watch the whole video at the end of this post. Beware, it's a real tear jerker!
