Enchanting Big Brother

This family maternity session was on a warm autumn day and was nothing short of magical. They were bathed in gorgeous, golden light and this mama positively glowed! The true star however, was this charming and animated 4-year-old big brother. His boundless energy and undeniable charisma made him an absolute delight to photograph. His mischievous grins, innocent curiosity, and boundless enthusiasm added an enchanting dimension to the shoot. Needless to say, this mini session turned full session real fast! LOL. I am very much looking forward to seeing them in a couple weeks with baby in tow!

Baby Bump X 3!

When you contact me about having your birth documented I always encourage an in person meeting. This is where we get to know each other a bit and we discuss your birth plan. After we chat we take a little stroll around and snap some photos of your maternity journey.

I have met with this incredible mama three times to discuss having her birth documented to create a precious Birth Story. Her first birth was one of the most memorable births that I documented. Unfortunately her second birth in 2020 was got derailed because of Covid which was so disheartening. But we did get some awesome spring beach maternity photos before everything locked down! And here we are in 2023, feeling oh so grateful that birth photography is back on!

I recently met with her for the third time and chatted for a while over a delicious sweet and spicy chai about documenting her third and final birth. After that, of course we took a little stroll around and snapped some beautiful photos. Every session we have is so beautiful. She is radiant and I absolutely adore working with her! My heart is bursting with love and joy over the fact that I have had the privilege of documenting these life changing chapters for her and her family. I actually feel a little overwhelmed when I think of aaaaaall the wonderful families that invited me in to their lives.

Alex + Missy

Alex is one of my best friends. He’s a friend for life kinda friend. In fact, I’ve been friends with this guy for more than two thirds of my life. Ever since we were 12 years old. We have accumulated so many memories that we could write a series of books. Now I am not sure what book we’re on or what chapter we’re at, but my goodness am I ever so excited to start this next one!! Him and his lady are having a BABY!!!
When Alex and Missy started dating I remember saying to my husband the night after meeting Missy that they would totally one day get married. They seemed so "meant-to-be”, immediately. Fast forward a couple years and these two had one of the most beautiful weddings along the French River. A coupla moves and a coupla cats later, they are now adding a sweet little squishy baby!!!!!! And this special little baby is the first grandbaby on both sides. Eeeeek!
So, naturally, we met up at the park during sunset for a maternity session and took advantage of the beautiful sunbeams as the sun set below the horizon. It was a week away from the first day of autumn. The foliage and wild flowers were so full and luscious. Their colours were still so vibrant. Now add their vibrant personalities, and we created magic. Seriously, such a fun session! So many incredible shots. Like, there’s no way you won’t smile when you look through these. They are soooooo cute and so meant to be.
