Day at the Cottage Sessions

Family cottage time is a cherished tradition for many. It's a time to reconnect with loved ones and create memories that will last a lifetime. Being at the cottage gives you that nostalgic feeling like nothing else. If you have a family cottage you know the memories that are locked there forever.

Hiring a photographer to document these moments enhances the experience even further. A professional photographer can capture the laughter, the joy, and the love shared between family members in an authentic beautiful artistic way. These photographs become treasured family heirlooms, passed down from generation to generation.

Much like Day in the Life sessions, which I offer year round, this summer I will be in Manitoba where I have limited amount of Day at the Cottage sessions available throughout August. These magical documentary style sessions are pressure free because you just have to live your day with your family while I hangout in the background documenting all the sweet moments that make the cottage life so great! Pancake breakfast, exploring nature, playing at the beach, boat rides, tubing, swimming, berry picking, kayaking, ice cream, board games, bonfires, s’mores, sparklers, and most of all, moments with your loved ones!

Scroll down to see a whooooole bunch of cottage life photos and contact me if you would like more information on these incredible sessions.

Emilia, 8 Months Old.

When I go to Winnipeg I always try to make room for 2 or 3 sessions while I am there. This summer I will be booking Winnipeg sessions from July 2nd until July 11th. When I was in Winnipeg this past August I photographed 8 month old Emilia and her family, which was pretty sentimental! We went to the same location we shot engagement photos 5 years prior. We had stormy weather and a sleeping baby just moments before we started. But then Emilia awoke and the clouds opened up to give us one epic sunset! This little one hammed it right up the moment we put her on the grass. She absolutely rocked this session! I love that we went to the exact same spots and included the same map too. Total perfection.

At the bottom of this post you'll see some of the photos from the 2012 engagement session. It's a little hard for me to look at my work from so long ago, but it's pretty cool to see how I have grown as an artist. Makes me wonder where I will be 5 years from now?!
