Addison's Cake Smash!

Everyone will warn you that it will go by so fast. They will comfort you on the hard days by reminding you of how soon it will be over and how you'll be begging for those baby days again. It's hard to believe, but then you blink and your baby is one.
I can't even believe that one year ago we were celebrating her arrival with a birth story and a newborn session and now here she is 365 days later embracing baby life while dipping her feet feet in to toddlerhood! That little squishy baby that could easily lay in one of your arms becomes hard to hold with two hands let alone one because one year olds are here there and everywhere.
The next year will likely go faster and the milestones just as epic as you say goodbye to the baby days and hello to the days of strong willed independence. But my goooodness aren't they just the cutest little cheeky monkeys at this stage!?

We ended the session by sending a balloon up to Addi's twin sister. It was really really lovely.

Lincoln & Brock

It was a beautiful summer morning when this super fun family and I took a stroll through the park and I snapped some photos along the way! Everything about these pictures makes me smile! Not only was the family so vibrant, but everything was so lush and green still. Luckily we've come to the end of the heatwave and drought! We have rain today and more in the week! Everything is about to brighten up, so we'll get one last burst of vibrant green before the leaves start to change in to beautiful autumn colours. Which is great because I was booked up for September, but since my children are in camp this week I am getting a taste of what life will be like come September when both my children are in full time school and I'm realizing that with the extra time, I can for sure take 2 more sessions. Alma & Wilder

Alma and Wilder met one week before these photos were taken. These siblings met at the Toronto Birth Centre moments after Wilder was born and I was there to document the whole thing! If you have not yet seen that slideshow you should! It's beautiful. This mom totally rocked that birth and she totally radiates during and afterwards! You will also see how incredibly hands on Alma was from the get go. So helpful and motherly. It was clearly a true reflection of her own parents. I have spent 3 separate occasions with this little lady, and I could see that when she's inspired by something, she goes for it. For example, at the maternity session she was a very proud butterfly who fluttered around and smelled all the flowers! And at the birth she was very intrigued with the midwives and what they were doing that she pretty much took over the placenta tour! And you'll see below that not only was she playing mom, she also became the photographer for a while during our family session. She has so much spunk and I was so glad I was able to capture some of that while I hung out with her as her new baby bro was being nursed. After spending that time with Alma it was time to take pictures of Wilder as he lay sound asleep looking so dreamy and perfectly squishy.
