Three's Company

You may remember The Taronno's from election day! Up until their 20 week ultrasound it was assumed that one little nugget was nestled safe and sound in this mama's womb. But at that ultrasound it was discovered that inside were 3 identical baby girls all cozy and cuddly and healthy! Jaw-dropped, with tears of fear, these absolutely shocked parents were running out of time to prepare for three spontaneous babies. Triplets are born earlier, and most mama's carrying triplets end up on bed rest a little over half way through. She was also now considered high risk because there's so much uncertainty. She was transferred to OB care from midwifery care and a scheduled c-section was booked, so natural birth was pretty much out of the question. Naturally, with all this information, as joyous as having three babies is, it's also quite scary. Well, Gill rocked this pregnancy and managed to avoid bed rest! After they voted in this very important election on October 19th, they went to the hospital where three healthy girls were born via c-section! Sadie, Eleanor, and Martha. They all thrived with no complications, and after a couple weeks in the NICU, they got to go home! That's when I jumped on a plane to document the start of a whole new life for this family, as three became six!

Now that was ADORABLE hey? Just a little hard on the ovaries for me! In fact, when I first laid eyes on them I unexpectedly started to cry. So, now to help you calm down from that urge to want your own set of triplets, we'll take a look at some behind the scenes (though, it doesn't help much). Which reminds me...even though these super parents seem to have things under control, if you know this family, be sure to stop by and say "hi", or to read a book to Ozzie, or do the dishes, or just to hold a baby! I am sure it would be much appreciated! Man, oh man, I thought life with one newborn was hard, I can't really imagine three!

Miles & Noel

I spent a beautiful summer morning with this lovely family exploring High Park. It was just before a big storm rolled in. I can't even tell you how much I LOVE taking pictures just before a storm. From the smell in the air to the dramatic light. Everything is so alive and lush! And thanks to these little explorers we got some excellent pictures and had a lot of fun in the process. Scroll down and check out my favourites from this session!!
